Plenty of research are being taken to build kinetic generators that can create enough energy to power mobile gadgets and possibly a few more small electronics by harnessing human movements. The problem, however, is majority of them are years behind in terms of being realizable, mass-produced items. Sanyo, interested in the technology but seemingly aware of restrictions in bringing such products to the market anytime soon, decided to go small with a pedometer that produces just enough charge to power itself.
